   But don't be naive, websites that generate a lot of trafic that can be translated into money are sites with content that other users want. Link sharing with sites that are not related to your content or that have a bad rating from google for ex., as well as link farms are a waste of time and may get you banned from search engines. 2. Link popularity is how many sites are actually linking to you. This is not the same as how many hits you are getting or how popular your site is.

   I have found that it is sometimes good to have sites that link to yours, i.e. link popularity as it can increase your position in internet searches and increase the chances of people finding your site, but not essential.

   if you type your web address in the search, then it will often show you who is linking to you, simply by the search results. where you crop up on sites that are not yours.

   getting your website configured for the search engines is much more important than link popularity in my opinion. It is how my customers have found my websites to purchase my services.

   You would want to come high in search results for yahoo and google when people type in such key words as villas in cyprus, private villas in cyprus etc. Link popularity is unlikely to help you achieve this alone.
