are ipods rip-offs?
i think so because i bought 12 new state of the art mp3 players and tested them, and guess what finished last, the ipod 5th generation, all the other players had far better software, firmware, acceptable formats, features, and exchange between computer on the player(itunes sucks), the player that finished 1st is the wolverine mvp, im not trying to spam or anything, but i didnt have time to make a chart of all 12, so i am comparing the worst to the best, check out this link before you answer http://primalarena.com/ipod%20vs%20wolverine.html its every difference between the wolverine mvp and ipod fifth generation all within a chart, and as u can see ipod only gained popularity through commercial advertisement, the only thing really has to offer is size and a few small things, i think you know which is better

All you are doing is paying for the name "iPod" and use of their itunes software with a mp3 player.
Stick with Sandisk, samsung and creative, way better then Apple and their mini monopoly with the ipods.

- Depends on what you want. If you want something very simple, popular, nice-looking, mostly dysfunctional, expensive and for the most part overrated, then the ipod is a good device. If you want something extremely functional and high quality compared to the ipod for much cheaper (most of the time even half the price for more memory), then GET SOMETHING ELSE. Some parts of the world are lucky and are more "mp3erly" advanced than the U.S. who thinks there are only ipods and that mp3 players are $3 walkmans you find in garage sales.
- id say yes to that to. a lot people only buy ipod cus of advertisment. it all over the world people know i pod cus of the dance commericials and style.
creative is in my top 3 i dont think i would ever get an ipod unless it was free. you pay the same price on most of these product adn you get double the memory. not only that you can use different types of file formats. dont get me wrong ipod is a good product there number from being forced up there. but if you want a player and you dont want ipod creative is my suggestion.
