Iran -- Diplomacy, diplomacy, diplomacy.
No one wins 100% when you try to compromise.
The Bush Administration doesn't seem to realize that.
Plus. I'm a conservative.
Others are just naive and idiotic and don't realize we need to start withdrawing soon. Keeping them there is not supporting them.
And this is on us and them.
In WW2 we forced the japanese to become a democracy, and they still are today. They even call their constitution the Mcarthur Constitution. In the end they wanted it.
Iraq doesn;t
Now that I have your attention, we need to pass on to Iran 2 things:
1. Stop supplying the insurgents with weapons.
2. Stop training the insurgents.
Those Mullahs need to understand that their actions could lead to a war that won't end without tens of millions of folks winding up dead and an entire region of the world entirely made of sand and glass. Not to mention the possibility of contaminating most of the worlds oil supplies.
This little action in Iraq could lead to WWIII if these countries continue to import weapons and insurgents to the region. Considering that the Iranian government is hell bent for leather to develop nuclear weapons. They may say its only for their reactors, but that's just what the North Korean government said as they were testing a possible bomb.
We owe a safe and secure Iraq to the Iraqui people. The Iraqui people also have to understand that its their country and they have to help us get the job done. Once Iraq is safe and their government can run things, then we leave. If that takes a year or 10 years, then that is how long it takes to get the job done. If we leave before that job is completed, we are doing the nation of Iraq a disservice, not to mention possibly leaving their country as a terriorist training ground for islamic faschists.
